Pool Fencing Styles
Effective date: 26 August 2026
Perth Pool Fencing ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and how you can access or correct it. It applies to our website at www.ppfencing.com.au and to all dealings with our business. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number and the address of the property we are quoting on or working at.
- Quote and job information — the details you give us about the work you want done, including measurements, photographs and site notes.
- Payment details — information needed to invoice and take payment. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical information — your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view on our website.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive updates from us, and whether you have opted out.
You may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where it is lawful and practicable to do so, though we may not be able to quote or carry out work without knowing who and where you are.
2. How we collect your information
We collect information:
- directly from you — when you call, email, message us, request a quote, or fill in a form on our website;
- in the course of providing services — when we attend site, carry out work, or invoice you;
- automatically through our website — using cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and the Facebook Pixel, which help us understand how the site is used and how people find us.
3. Why we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- schedule, carry out and complete the work, including arranging installers and suppliers;
- invoice you and keep proper business and tax records;
- send you service updates, and promotional material where you have opted in — you can opt out at any time;
- understand and improve our website, our advertising and our services;
- meet our legal, safety and compliance obligations, including pool barrier compliance requirements.
4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make browsing easier, to keep the site secure, to measure how the site is performing, and to show you relevant advertising. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.
5. Advertising and the Google Ads API
We advertise our own services on Google Ads. To manage our own advertising account accurately, we operate a small private internal tool that connects to the Google Ads API.
- The tool accesses only our own Google Ads account. It does not access, manage or report on any other advertiser's account.
- It is used only by our own staff. It is not a product, it is not offered to the public, and access to it is not sold, resold or licensed to anyone.
- It reads advertising performance data — spend, impressions, clicks and conversion counts — and makes routine account changes such as budgets and keywords. It does not retrieve, store or process the personal information of website visitors or customers.
- Data returned by the Google Ads API is used solely to operate and improve our own advertising. It is not sold, transferred or disclosed to any third party, and it is not used for any purpose other than managing our advertising account.
- Access credentials are held in encrypted storage and are not shared.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver our services or where the law requires it — for example with installers and subcontractors working on your job, our suppliers where materials must be delivered to your address, our payment and accounting providers, and our IT and hosting providers. Where we use overseas service providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Other websites
Our website may link to other sites. Those sites are not controlled by us and have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies before providing them with any personal information.
8. Accessing or updating your information
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encrypted connections (SSL) on our website, password protection and access controls, and storage with reputable cloud providers. Access is limited to those who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, and if a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and the effective date above tells you when it last changed.
